My interests are centered around the observation of turbulence and mixing in stratified flows. I am currently working within the ‘AlterEco’ project, which aims to utilize autonomous observing systems to better understand physical and biogeochemical processes in the North Sea.
To develop a comprehensive understanding of shelf sea ecosystem functioning, and subsequently environmental or ecological status, requires knowledge of the natural physical, chemical, biological and physiographic factors integrated with anthropogenic activities and their impacts.
My role is to be one of three postdoctoral researchers, that deploy gliders, analyze data and disseminate findings.
